The Beatles – Tony Sheridan & The Beat Brothers “My Bonnie” Framed 45
A framed copy of the first record anywhere in the world to feature The Beatles, My Bonnie/The Saints by Tony Sheridan and the Beat Brothers, on the German Polydor label. The Beatles were billed as the Beat Brothers as German slang for the male sex organ is Peedles, evidently too close for comfort for their label. This single was first issued as a “Rock” version with a German language introduction in late 1961, and in early 1962 as a “Twist” version with an English language introduction. The version here is a very rare 45 that is labeled as the “Rock” version, but mistakenly plays the “Twist” version (and is thus the rarest version of all). The disc is shiny with superficial marks, and plays well with minimum surface noise. The labels are in excellent condition. This example has been beautifully framed with a photograph of the Beatles circa 1961, with original drummer Pete Best (who played on this single.) The frame measures 32″ x 17 1/2″ x 1″ and is in excellent condition. The shipping costs included are estimates; this will be shipped at the actual cost (as this is large and fragile, it will be costly to ship.)
