The original chalk drawing used for the cover of a-ha’s 1985 single ‘Train of Thought’, from their worldwide hit album Hunting High and Low.

This was hand drawn by animator Michael Patterson, with Candace Reckinger, director of the group’s classic music videos for ‘Take on Me’ and ‘Train of Thought.’  The very large drawing, on 25 5/8″ x 19 3/4″ black paper, shows more of the image than is reproduced on the single and 12″ covers.

We obtained this from a music executive who worked on the project. Included is a UK copy of the ‘Train of Thought’ 12″ single.

Drawing in Mint condition, with a removable clear acetate overlay attached on the left edge. 12″ Single in Near Mint Condition.  With Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.

An extraordinary and unique a-ha collectible.
