Andrew Loog Oldham – Small Faces – Michael D'Abo – Gullivers Travels Instant/Immediate LP

A copy of the extremely rare and very strange album "Gullivers Travels" on the UK Immediate subsidiary Instant Records. This 1968 album, produced by Rolling Stones manager/producer and Immediate founder Andrew Loog Oldham, is a psychedelic sound collage featuring contributions from the Small Faces, The Nice, Bob Kerr's Whoopee Band, and Michael D'Abo, who at the time was the lead singer for Manfred Mann. Evidently D'Abo was appearing in London in a theatre production of "Gulliver's Travels" and this provided the impetus for this very strange album. But it is by no means a soundtrack, rather an early sound collage/sampling album, which evidently was withdrawn from the market very quickly, as Oldham hadn't cleared all the rights necessary to release it. This is the only copy we've ever seen, and it's in beautiful EX+/Mint condition.
