Aretha Franklin – 1st Printing Fillmore Poster Signed By Jim Marshall

A near mint first and only printing Fillmore Poster advertising the great Aretha Franklin’s appearances at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, signed by the late, legendary photographer Jim Marshall, who took the photograph on the poster (which was designed by David Singer.) These March, 1971 concerts were recorded and released for Aretha’s “Live At The Fillmore West” album. The poster is in near mint- condition with tiny dings in 3 corners, but otherwise no issues at all. It is signed boldly in the lower right corner by Jim Marshall in silver paint pen. 14 1/64 x 21 1/16. The late Jim Marshall was one of the most highly acclaimed music photographers ever; he was the chief photographer at Woodstock, the only photographer allowed backstage at the Beatles last concert, and shot legendary photographs of Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones Johnny Cash, and many other music legends. His photographs adorn more than 500 album covers including the Allman Brothers “At The Fillmore East” and the Jefferson Airplane’s Volunteers, and numerous concert posters.
