Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers – 1970 NYC Boxing-Style Jazz Concert Poster

A striking paper boxing-style concert poster advertising a “Bon Voyage Concert and Party” with Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers  on December 28, 1970, at the East Village In in Greenwich Village, New York.  Blakey is billed as “An Electrifying Dynamo” and his band “An Eternal Institution;” this was their “last appearance before a 2-month ‘Far East Tour.'”  In excellent condition with a 1″ archivally repaired closed tear to the left edge, and a tiny chip to the bottom right corner.  17 1/2″ x 22 1/2″.  Vintage jazz posters are scarce and this one is a beauty.
