Bill Graham – NY Street Sign for BILL GRAHAM WAY/Fillmore East

In the early 1990's, New York City named the street in front of the legendary Fillmore East "Bill Graham's Way." This actual New York City Street sign was given at the dedication ceremony to former Fillmore East managing director Kip Cohen. The dedication was held at New York University/Tisch School of the Arts, and hosted by the then-mayor Rudy Giuliani. This very large sign (you don't realize how big these are, way up high on the pole !) measures a full 3 feet long (9" tall) and is made of aluminum. This is not a commerative souveneir, but an actual NY street sign. I obtained this directly from Kip Cohen, who has written on the reverse "Street sign from 2nd Ave. and 6th St.as commemorated by Mayor Guiliani. Given to me at dedication ceremony NYU Tisch. Kip Cohen, Managing Director, Fillmore East 1968-71." In near mint condition. A unique addition to any Fillmore collection.
