A rare 1950’s brochure advertising the legendary New York jazz club Birdland, named after Charlie Parker, who played there along with virtually every major jazz musician of the era.  The cover lists a number of them–Count Basie, Sarah Vaughan, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Dinah Washington, and others.  Inside are great photos of musicians  and celebrity patrons at Birdland including Duke Ellington with Gary Cooper, Marlon Brando with Dinah Washington and Harry Belafonte, Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis, Sammy Davis Jr. playing drums, Milton Berle with Slim Galliard, and many others.

18 3/4″ x 8 1/2″, folding down in fifths to 3 3/4″ x 8 1/2″.  In excellent condition.
