Black Sabbath – Clock Bell & Thunder Effects Tape, Used For Live Performances of Song ‘Black Sabbath’

A 5″ reel-to-reel sound effects tape of a clock tower bell ringing and thunder claps, used during Black Sabbath’s live performances of their song ‘Black Sabbath’.

This came from the estate of Black Sabbath manager and noted record producer Sandy Pearlman, who managed Black Sabbath from 1979 to 1983.  Pearlman, also the manager, producer, co-founder, and principal lyricist of Blue Oyster Cult, managed the 1981 Black Sabbath/Blue Oyster Cult tour, and it’s almost certain this tape was used during that tour.

The tape is in excellent condition and runs 5:57 long; a digital transfer is included.

With Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity, noting the extraordinary provenance.
