The original handbill reproduced in the artwork for the "Bob Dylan Bootleg Series Vol 9", announcing Bob Dylan's appearance at Detroit's Masonic Scottish Rite Cathedral on October 17, 1964. This handbill was issued by The Retort, a small folk club in Detroit. It advertises upcoming shows by Booker Bradshaw, Ellen Stekert and the Dalton Boys at the Retort, as well as Dylan's show at the Masonic. This handbill had never surfaced prior to Ellen Stekert's discovery of a few in her archive. We made this handbill available to Bob Dylan's art director and it is the exact one reproduced, in part, in the newly released "Bootleg Series Vol 9: Witmark Demos" CD set. 8 1/2" x 13", in near mint condition.
