Bob Dylan – Handwritten Seven Days Lyric, Etc.

An original Bob Dylan handwritten lyric manuscript for the song "Seven Days." This song was written by Bob in March 1976, at Shangra La Studios in Malibu, where Eric Clapton was recording his "No Reason To Cry" album, and according to Clapton "Bob was living in a tent at the bottom of the garden. He would keep sneaking into the studio to find out what was going on, trying to catch me in there."(br)Also around and recording was Ron Wood. According to Wood, "He played it ("Seven Days") to me and Eric in the studio, and he said to Eric "You can have this song if you want it." And I took him up on it and Eric didn't." Wood recorded "Seven Days" and included it on his solo album "Gimmie Some Neck."(br)Dylan first performed the song during the Rolling Thunder Review concerts in April 1976, later performing it twenty years later during the "Never Ending Tour."(br)The song was released by Dylan for the first time on the legendary 1991 "Bootleg Series Volume 1-3" collection. Ron Wood sang it at the 1993 "Bob Dylan 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration," and it appears on the double CD set from this show (dubbed "Bobfest" by performer Neil Young." This version of the song was written out by Bob during the rehearsals for the 30th Anniversary Tribute Concert, presumably for Ron Wood as a refresher. It is written on the back of a page detailing the exact schedule for the event, and is accompanied by two other pages of schedule. Together these give a minute by minute breakdown of the concert, which was filmed for broadcast (as well as recorded.) Also included here is Bob Dylan's personal laminated backstage pass for the concert (truly one of a kind !) and a front row, unused ticket for the concert. These came from a close associate of Bob's, and like everything we offer, comes with a written lifetime guarantee of authenticity. This is truly a historic piece of Bob Dylan memorabilia, and rare indeed. (Info about "Seven Days" for this listing came from the book "Keys To The Highway: The Definitive Bob Dylan Encyclopedia;" a wonderful reference for Dylan songs.)
