Bob Dylan – Original 1975 Photograph by Ken Regan
An original vintage photograph of Bob Dylan during his 1975 Rolling Thunder tour, by legendary photographer Ken Regan. Dylan is pictured backstage reading papers; perhaps a set list or lyric sheet.
The print measures 9 7/8″ x 13 7/8″ and is titled in pencil (presumably by Regan) on the back “Bob Dylan in Concert, Springfield, Mass 11/75″ above Regan’s Camera 5 studio stamp.
The late Ken Regan was a legendary photographer, covering all manner of sports for Time, Life, Sports Illustrated and Newsweek, before founding his own Camera 5 agency in the 70’s, which represented 15 photographers. He photographed many historic events in the United States and abroad, and toured with the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, as well as photographing George Harrison’s Concert For Bangladesh, The Band’s Last Waltz and Live Aid. He photographed over 200 magazine covers.
The print is in excellent condition with a bit of waviness and edge fraying and a 1/4” edge tear to the border, bottom center–none of this affecting the image. This will frame beautifully. The second scan here is a close up of Dylan in the photograph. A wonderful contemplative photo of a legend lost in thought.
