Bob Dylan – Owned/stage played Telecaster guitar

A Bob Dylan owned and stage used Fender '52 Butterscotch re-issue Telecaster guitar, played by Dylan on tour and in the studio throughout the 1980's. Originally sold at a Christies auction in New York, this guitar was given by Dylan to his longtime guitar technician and sometime band member Cesar Diaz. Diaz's notarized letter of authenticity describes it as a "1983 Fender Telecaster -Butterscotch, Serial #V006978" and states "Bob gave me this guitar as a gift. Many photos of Bob with this guitar. Used on tour for many years in the USA and overseas. Also used in the studio." The neck pocket is stamped "Bob Dylan," and it has the original tweed re-issue hard case. As Diaz states, Dylan was photographed extensively playing this guitar. It was also pictured in a 1985 Spin Magazine cover story on Dylan , leaning against the wall in Dylan's art studio. Included is the original bill of sale from Christies, a copy of Diaz's notarized letter of authenticity, a copy of the '85 Spin magazine, and 15 reproductions of photographs of Dylan playing the guitar. In excellent condition with a few chips to the finish and some evidence of use.
