Bob Dylan – Rolling Thunder Review Tour Crew Member Metal Luggage Tag

A metal ‘Rolling Thunder Review’ touring crew luggage tag, given to members of Bob Dylan’s 1974 tour crew.  We obtained this from the Rolling Thunder Reivew sound mixer, who explains in his accompanying letter of authenticity:

This letter is to authenticate a Bob Dylan/Rolling Thunder Review given to me during the Rolling Thunder Review tour.  I was the head of promoter Bill Graham’s sound department and lead concert mixer, and worked on several Bob Dylan tours.  Signed [Name removed from scan only for the mixer’s privacy].

This extremely rare luggage tag appears to be brass, with the tour logo and key performer’s names–Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Jack Elliott, and Bob Neuwirth raised up from the textured surface.  On the back is a foundry mark, and the spray painted number 62, marking this as belonging to the sound mixer, #62 in the touring party.  The luggage tag measures 2 5/8″ x 1 3/8″.  Also included is a xeroxed copy of the original recipient’s laminated tour backstage pass [again we have removed his name from the scan only to protect his privacy], the original recipient’s letter of authenticity, and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
