Bob Dylan – Signed Philharmonic Hall '64 Concert Program
An exceedingly rare signed program for Bob Dylan's "Halloween Concert" held on October 31, 1964 at New York's Philharmonic Hall. Released by Columbia Records as "The Bootleg Series Vol. 6: Bob Dylan Live 1964" in 2004, this was Dylan at his live acoustic peak, joined by Joan Baez for a number of songs. Dylan has signed this program "Bob" with a drawing/doodle to the right of his name, on the sweet spot of the page with his poem "Advice For Geraldine On Her Miscellaneous Birthday." This program was formerly in the collection of celebrated collector George Hecksher, who amassed the most important collection of Dylan manuscripts and handwritten items ever assembled, later donating it to the Pierpoint-Morgan Library in New York (the premiere manuscript library in the United States.) Few items from the Hecksher collection have ever been offered on the market. We obtained this directly from Hecksher (his primary focus of collecting was manuscripts, not signatures) and our letter of authenticity will note the Hecksher provenance. Guaranteed authentic with no time limit. (We only know of a few other examples of this extremely rare program, signed or unsigned.)
