Bob Dylan – Ultra Rare Silver ‘Rolling Thunder Review’ Medallion Given To Tour Crew, With Laminate Backstage Pass.

A silver ‘Rolling Thunder Review’ medallion on chain, given to select members of Bob Dylan’s 1974 tour crew, and the original recipient’s tour laminate.  We obtained both from the Rolling Thunder Reivew sound mixer, who explains in his accompanying letter of authenticity:

This letter is to authenticate a Bob Dylan/Rolling Thunder Review silver medallion on  a chain, given to key crew members as as ‘thank you’ at the conclusion of the Rolling Thunder Review tour.  I was the head of promoter Bill Graham’s sound department and lead concert mixer, and worked on several Bob Dylan tours.  This medallion was given to me, and I have had it in my collection since the tour’s end.  Signed [Name removed from scan only for the mixer’s privacy].

This is the only example of this rare medallion we know of.  It appears to be sterling silver, with a turquoise inlay above the eagle’s head.  The medallion measures 1 1/2″ in diameter, and the chain is 23″ long.  Also included is the original recipient’s laminated tour backstage pass [again we have removed his name from the scan only to protect his privacy].  With the original red velvet presentation pouch, the original recipient’s letter of authenticity, and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
