Bob Marley & The Wailers – Marley & Band Signed Catch A Fire Album
An extremely rare copy of Bob Marley & The Wailers' breakthrough album 'Catch A Fire' signed by Marley and the Wailers. Bob Marley signatures are rare indeed, but this is the first album we've seen to be signed by him and all of the Wailers–Peter Tosh, Carlton Barrett, Ashton 'Family Man' Barrett, and Earl Lindo, as well as Jamaican reggae artist B.B. (Barry) Seaton. Internationally recognized Reggae scholar and Bob Marley expert Roger Steffens helped us decipher the signatures and inscriptions. Marley signed 'Love, Bob Marley, To Ron, Lively (for the song 'Lively Up Yourself'); Peter Tosh wrote 'Peter Tosh Jah Rastafari' ; Carlton Barrett signed 'Jah Man Carlton Drummer' ; Ashton 'Family Man' Barrett simply wrote 'Family Man'; Earl Lindo wrote 'Give Than(k)s, Wire' (he was known as Wire and Wya); and B.B Seaton wrote 'Barry Seaton.' The album was signed for a Los Angeles area D.J. The first pressing 'Cigarette Lighter' cover is worn and the top separated from the bottom, though the record holds them together. This album is a promo copy, as indicated by the hole punched in the top left corner; also included is a vintage Island Records die-cut promo sticker depicting the cover open with the inside of the lighter exposed (5" x 4" and unused). As with everything we offer, guaranteed authentic in writing, with no time limit.
