Stephen Stills’ personal RIAA Gold Record award for RETROSPECTIVE: THE BEST OF THE BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD.   “RETROSPECTIVE” was released on January 17, 1969 and was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on April 12, 1989 (it was also certified platinum on that date and is remarkably the ONLY Springfield album to be certified gold or platinum.)  This award was presented to Stills’s personal music publishing company Gold Hill Music, then gifted by him to his business associate and friend Mitch Kemper; from whom we obtained it.  The award is in excellent condition, with some minor  light scuffing to the frame.  The award is original and unrestored other than the backing paper, which we have replaced.  A very rare vintage award presented to a legendary artist.  With our lifetime guarantee of authenticity and letter detailing its provenance as Stills’ own award.
