Carole King – Handwritten Letter To Jackson Browne
A handwritten letter sent by Carole King to Jackson Browne, dated November 1, 1979. King writes from her home in Idaho to Browne, thanking him and Graham Nash for all their activism on behalf of various causes, noting many of them, telling him that she is involved in (and inspired by him) the Anti-Nuke movement, and conservation issues, mentioning Idaho senator Frank Church and his wife Bethine, the governor, and her speaking at a Democratic dinner. She updates Browne on her upcoming album, family, laments that David Crosby is suffering (he was in the throws of drug addiction at the time), etc. Two sides of a single sheet, with original postmarked envelope (we have blurred out her address on the scan.)
We acquired this from longtime Crosby Stills & Nash road manager Mac Holbert, who also road managed King’s 1976 Tapestry Tour. His letter of authenticity is included. A fantastic King/Browne collectible with impeccable provenance.
