Cream – 1967 Vintage Autographed “Fresh Cream” Mono White Label Promo LP, With 2 COA’s
A very rare white label mono promotional copy of Fresh Cream, beautifully signed in 1967 by Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker.
The accompanying email from the original owner notes, “I have owned this copy of Fresh Cream since it’s original release in May of 1967. At the time, I was attending a co-ed “Progressive” boarding school in Vermont called the Woodstock Country School. Being the resident record geek, a classmate’s Dad was either the lawyer for, or somehow associated with, Robert Stigwood. He gave the father the signed white label promo Atlantic release of the album, and the father had no idea who they were and could care less, so he handed it off to his daughter. The daughter and I were close friends and she knew what a music fan I was and asked me if I wanted it. Naturally, I said yes, and though I played this copy a bit at school, I subsequently got another copy of Fresh Cream, and retired this one from my collection, and played the other copy.”
The cover is in VG condition with invisibly repaired spines, but the signed back cover has only light wear and the autographs are bold and beautiful–this will frame beautifully. The disc grades VG- visually, but plays VG++ to EX with just a few light ticks.
A superb set of vintage Cream autographs from their early days. With the original owner’s email, and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
