An NM/EX first pressing of The Creation’s 1967 debut album, We Are Paintermen, on the Swedish Sonet label. The Creation were the very definition of Freakbeat, with psychedelic songs, searing lead guitar by guitar hero Eddie Phillips, and a chaotic live presentation.  They have been cited as an influence by artists from Pete Townshend and Jimmy Page to Paul Weller and the Sex Pistols.

Though they were a UK Group, their first album was only issued in Germany and Sweden; their second and final album, The Best of was only issued in Germany.

This example is lightly played, but has wavy pressing marks on both sides, and a few small scuffs on one side.  It plays very well throughout (at least EX) with a bit of light crackle between tracks.  A very rare and essential 60’s album.
