A twice signed contract between Duke Ellington & legendary Jazz empresario Norman Granz granting Granz the rights to Ellington’s life story for a movie (never produced.) This is a 15 page contract signed by both Ellington and Granz, followed by a 1 page amendment signed by both. The cover letter is from Granz’s attorney, Frank Wells, later president of Walt Disney Company. Fascinating. 8.5″ x 14″; overall very good condition; some minor water damage & edge tears to one or two pages.
