Elvis Presley – Signed 1955 Hank Snow tour program
An Elvis signed 1955 tour program, from a 21-day, 20-town tour (beginning May 1) with Hank Snow's All-Star Jamboree. The very young Elvis has boldly autographed his photo in red ink,"Elvis Presley," as bold and beautiful signature as you'll find–and an EXTREMELY early one. Additional photos and bios include Snow, Faron Young, Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters, the Wilburn Brothers, Jimmie Rodgers Snow, the Davis Sisters, Slim Whitman, and Onnie Wheeler. Inside the back cover is a photo featuring Elvis with his bandmates Scotty and Bill. Colonel Tom Parker, who managed both Presley and Snow, was in charge of the tour, and publicity was done by Mae Boren Axton (also pictured), who would go on to pen one of Elvis's first big hits, "Heartbreak Hotel." 8-1/2" x 11;" with a vertical centerfold and many light surface creases, but will frame beautifully. Also signed lightly in pencil by Hank Snow (cover), Slim Whitman (photo) and Cowboy Copas (back cover).
