Eric Clapton – RIAA Diamond Award For Unplugged
An extremely rare RIAA Diamond Award for Eric Clapton's 10 million selling 1992 album, "Unplugged." The Recording Industry Association of America presents Diamond Awards to recording artists for albums selling in excess of 10 million copies in the U.S.–an extremely unusual occurrence. Diamond awards are extremely scarce and collectible; unlike RIAA award plaques, they are not presented to record executives or artists' management; in fact we know of no diamond awards that have been sold previously. The impressive diamond award sculpture was created by designer Peter Wayne Yenawine, a master designer at Steuben Glass, and is made of fine lead crystal. This award is in beautiful condition, measuring 16" high (the crystal sculpture sits on an engraved, tapered 4 1/2" base.) A rare opportunity to obtain a very desirable RIAA Award.
