Faust – UK Clear Vinyl 1st Press Faust Album

A near mint clear vinyl UK first pressing of Faust's 1971 debut album, on Polydor. Faust's first album was legendary for pushing the limits of both avant-garde music and record packaging, with it's clear vinyl sleeve, insert and disc, and labels with the information pressed into silver foil in lieu of printing. The near mint German disc here is in superb condition without so much as a single spindle mark (both German and UK issues included German pressed discs.) The UK sleeve, fragile and always found with some ringwear, is in near excellent condition, with fully intact silkscreened artwork and no sleeve splitting, as is so often the case. There is a curved scratch on the back and some other scuffing, but overall this is cleaner than most surviving copies of this very scarce and important LP. Krautrock at its best—musically and visually.
