Fleetwood Mac – Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks – Pre-Buckingham/Nicks 45 – Sincerely, San Jose 45
The rare 1968 single by Sincerely, San Jose; the first-ever record to feature Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. This 45 includes two of three songs recorded for a 1968 demo tape by Buckingham & Nicks’ group Fritz, which also included keyboard player Javier Pacheco. A small Bay Area label, Karma, released this single with the new band name; unfortunately, it sank without a trace. The A-side is a cover of Burt Bacharach’s “What The World Needs Now,” while the B-side is an original written by Pacheco, “You Don’t Get Young Anymore.” Both feature lead vocals by Buckingham, with Nicks clearly audible on background vocals, especially on the B-side. It’s thought that Buckingham is probably playing bass and guitar. In EX/VG+ condition; with some light fading to the A-Side label. Plays great. A scarce and little known rarity.
