Frank Zappa – Mothers of Invention – Triple Signed Suzy Creamcheese Film Contract
A signed contract between Frank Zappa and manager Herb Cohen and Imperator Films (believed to be a division of MGM) regarding a Zappa-created film treatment entitled “The Rise and Fall of Suzy Creamcheese.” Dated December 1967, Zappa and Cohen grant the film company the right to develop and produce a film based on the character that Zappa had created and sang about. They also state that they own all rights to Suzy Creamcheese, and will use their best efforts to stop others from using the name. The 6 page contract is autographed three times by Zappa (on behalf of himself, Freak Out Productions, and Frank Zappa Music Company) and twice by Herb Cohen (on behalf of himself and Third Story Music.) Also included is an unsigned 5 page draft of the contract, dated November 22, 1967, on MGM stationery, and a vintage publicity photograph of Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. This comes from the estate of Herb Cohen, and as with everything we offer, is guaranteed authentic with no time limit. Historic !
