Frank Zappa – Signed Bizarre Records Formation Contract

A three page contract signed by Frank Zappa dating from February 1969, detailing the ownership of Zappa and manager Herb Cohen’s Bizarre Records and music publishing company, Bizarre Music.  Bizarre was Zappa’s MGM and later Warner Bros. distributed record label, issuing records by Zappa and the Mothers, as well as Wild Man Fischer, Captain Beefheart, and many more unique and creative artists. This fascinating agreement details the ownership of the company (with Zappa and Cohen each owning 37.5%, the rest owned by attorney Martin Cohen and business manager Neil Reshen) and obligations of the shareholders and an associated agreement with Zappa’s Third Story Music.  With an 8″ x 10″ promotional photo of the Zappa and the Mothers of Invention.

Contract pages 8.5″ x 11″; very good condition with file holes and one incidental edge tear.  With Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
