Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention – 1968 Contract Signed By 9 Band Members

A Frank Zappa & Mothers of Invention contract signed by the 1968 lineup of the Mothers; this is the only set of complete 1968 Mothers autographs we've ever seen (9 members !) This 7 page agreement is for the Mothers appearance on the Steve Allen Show (where Zappa previously appeared, a few years earlier, playing a bicycle !) Signers of the contract are Frank Zappa, Ian Underwood, Roy Estrada, Bunk Gardner, Jimmy Carl Black, Ray Collins, Don Preston, Euclid James (Motorhead) Sherwood, and Artie Tripp. Each signature is a "10"; bold, clear and unfaded. The attached pages spell out the terms of the performance, income from it, fees for repeat performances, etc. This came from the archives of original Mothers manager Herb Cohen, and like everything we offer, is guaranteed authentic with no time limit. While Zappa signed contracts do appear on the market, agreements signed by the Mothers are extremely rare– and this, with 9 members of the classic lineup–is probably unique. So rare, so great, from the Mothers prime era.
