Here is something few collectors have ever seen–a completely unreleased, alternate US album cover for Fred Neil's classic album OTHER SIDE OF THIS LIFE on Capitol.(br)This psychedelic cover bears no resemblance whatsoever to the released cover, which shows Neil smoking a cigarette, against a blue sky. This was the original cover, but was obviously changed–for the better–by someone at Capitol Records.(br)This is absolutely original, with the same catalog number (ST-657) as the regular issue, credits, and as you can see from the last photo, the same "printed in USA" credit (there is a USA credit on the disc as well.(br)We know of only two other copies of this, both in private collections; and an extensive internet search has shown no documentation of this ultra rarity.(br)The cover is in VG++ condition, with some light wear; while the disc is in NM condition. Guaranteed to be an original 1971 US LP. To say this is rare is an understatement !
