George Harrison – 1974 Dark Horse Tour Crew Shirt

An ultra rare George Harrison ‘Dark Horse’ 1974 tour turtleneck shirt, given to key crew members.  We obtained this from Steven Gagne, former head of the Fillmore East sound department, and the sound mixer on the tour who writes in his accompanying letter of authenticity:

This letter is to authenticate a George Harrison 1974 ‘Dark Horse;’ Tour shirt, given to key crew members on the tour.  I was the head of promoter Bill Graham’s sound department and lead concert mixer, and in thatg role was responsible for the sound on this tour, which also featured Ravi Shankar.  This was given to me during the tour.

The long sleeve turtleneck shirt has the ‘Dark Horse’ tour logo silkscreened on the front, with nothing on the back. There is a faded label in which you can barely make out the size X Large, though it appears smaller than that–it measures 18″ armpit to armpit, and 30″ from the top of the turtleneck (unfolded) to the bottom seam.  It looks lightly worn and is in excellent condition, with no stains or fading at all.  With Mr. Gagne’s letter of authenticity and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.

The only example we’ve seen of this very rare shirt.
