George Harrison – 1974 Dark Horse Tour Medallion & Backstage Laminate

An ultra rare George Harrison ‘Dark Horse’ 1974 tour medallion, given to key crew members, and the tour sound mixer’s laminate backstage pass.  We obtained both from Steven Gagne, former head of the Fillmore East sound department, and the sound mixer on the tour who writes in his accompanying letter of authenticity:

This letter is to authenticate a George Harrison 1974 ‘Dark Horse;’ Tour medallion and chain, given to key crew members involved in that tour.  I was the head of promoter Bill Graham’s sound department and lead concert mixer, and in thatg role was responsible for the sound on this tour, which also featured Ravi Shankar.  This was given to me during the tour.

The medallion, which we’ve never seen another example of, appears to be brass, and is on an 18″ silver chain.  It measures 1 1/16″ in diameter, and is in excellent condition.  The tour laminate (again, we’ve never seen another) measures 2 5/8″ x 3 7/8″ and is in very good condition.  With Mr. Gagne’s letter of authenticity and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.

Two impossibly rare George Harrison collectibles from George Harrison’s only US solo tour.
