George Harrison – Beatles – Signed CLOUD NINE Album Cover Proof

A signed and inscribed album cover proof for George Harrison's album CLOUD NINE, signed to an art director who worked on George's projects at this time. It has been authenticated by famed Beatles expert Perry Cox, who's letter of authenticity accompanies it.(br)Album cover proofs are made in very limited numbers (25 or fewer) before an album cover is printed, so the artist, record company and art director can give a final approval before millions of covers are printed (similar to a test pressing for a record.) This proof, measuring 16 3/4" x 28 1/4" and printed on thick card stock, has notations from the color separator, Color Service Inc, at the bottom and is dated 8/10/87. It is in near mint (in fact virtually mint) condition. George Harrison has signed it boldly "To Gabrielle, love from George Harrison" with a beautiful signature 5" across.(br)This proof was signed for Warner Bros. art director Gabrielle Raumberger, who has written a letter of authenticity, which is included with the proof, reading(br)"This letter is to authenticate an album cover proof of George Harrison's album CLOUD NINE, signed: "To Gabrielle, love from George Harrison."(br)While employed as an art director at Warner Bros. Records, I had the pleasure of working with George Harrision, designing a number of pieces for the US release of CLOUD NINE, including the 45 RPM sleeve for "Got My Mind Set On You," all the ads, in-store merchandising, and the promotional items for the campaign."(br)George always showed his appreciation to all the staff members working on his behalf, by coming to the label frequently to show his support. During one of these visits, George personally brought this signed sleeve to me to show his thanks. When the project was over, h3e took all of us out to a fabulous lunch and gave each of us a Christmas gift. This show of kindness was rare in the music industry and I will always fondly remember my good fortune to be honored to have worked with him.(br)Sincerely, Gabrielle Raumberger"(br)Also included is Perry Cox's COA. This is as beautiful a Harrison signed item as one could hope for, with full documentation, and presented by George to someone who worked on his projects. As with everything we offer, guaranteed authentic with no time limit.
