Two documents given by George Harrison to Atlanta DJ Paul Drew, who traveled with the Beatles during their 1964 and 1965 U.S. Tours. Drew accompanied The Beatles on their chartered plane, interviewing the group many times, and introducing them at their August 18, 1965 concert at Atlanta Stadium. Drew went on to become one of the most important radio programmers in the America, and interviewed the individual Beatles numerous times after the group split (see photos below.)

Perry Cox, a world recognized expert in Beatles handwriting and collectibles, has identified the first as having been written by Beatles road manager Neil Aspinall on behalf of George Harrison, and the second by George Harrison himself.  Cox describes both in his letter of authenticity, excerpted here:

“The first (document) is a list of artists hand written for George Harrison by Beatles road manager Neil Aspinall, for Atlanta WQXI DJ, Mr. Paul Drew.  At the time in 1964, Mr. Drew agreed to send Mr. Harrison many records from the U.S.A. that George had difficulty finding in England.  The list included requests for 17 artists.  On George’s behalf, Mr. Aspinall used a blue ballpoint pen on this document.  It is not known if Mr. Aspinall added any artists to this list for himself.  The reverse of this document has the typed address and date along with Neil’s name.  Overall VG++ condition with some handling and proper aging (Note Neil pen’s Bob Dylan as “Bob Dillon.”)

The second (document) is a small section of a note pad corner that has been clean torn on two sides and scripted by George Harrison.  On this small document George has scripted two record titles he’d like to have sent along with the list compiled for George by Neil Aspinall.  He also pens the address where Mr. Drew should send the records (his home address.)  This document is also in the same blue ballpoint pen.  VG++ condition with some light handling.”
