Grace Slick/Jefferson Airplane – Owned and Worn 1960’s Handmade Dress
A wonderful 1960’s burgundy velvet dress with gold embroidery, owned and worn by legendary Jefferson Airplane singer Grace Slick. This dress was custom made for Slick, during her time as lead singer of the Jefferson Airplane. Recordmecca’s Jeff Gold obtained this directly from Grace Slick and her daughter, China Kantner (who’s father is the Airplane/Starship’s Paul Kantner.) Grace has handwritten a note authenticating this dress as her own, reading ‘I, Grace Slick, sold this burgundy velvet caftan with gold embroidery that I wore in the 1960’s, to Jeff Gold. Grace Slick.’ A rare opportunity to obtain a dress made for and owned by Grace Slick, with impeccable provenance (elsewhere on this site, we are offering the dress Grace wore at the Monterey Pop Festival.) With Slick’s original note, and Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
