Grateful Dead – 1967 WB Publicity Photos, Fan Club Zine, Mini Poster

An exceptionally rare collection of Grateful Dead memorabilia, from the time of the release of their first album in early 1967.  Included are two 8″ x 10″ publicity photographs, one with the Warner Brothers Reocrds logo, an 8 1/2″ x 11″ mini poster with band photos and biographical details, and a four page zine, The Olompali Sunday Times, issued by their fan club.  This includes details of the recording of their debut album and single (the album, released in March 1967, is referenced as having been released four weeks earlier), band travel plans, sales of 50,000 copies of the album, and “Personalities and Band Secrets” (“Jer…has a lot to say…digs girls, girls…very open…loves orange juice…).

A great grouping from the Grateful Dead’s earliest days.  All in Near Mint condition.
