Grateful Dead – Spectacular “Europe ’72” Linen Mounted Promotional Poster

A large, stunning promotional poster issued by Warner Bros. Records in 1972 to promote the Grateful Dead’s triple live album Europe ’72.
Artists Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelly created the album cover artwork, with this poster reproducing the back cover’s “Truckin’ Fool” smashing an ice cream cone against his forehead. Airborne drops of ice cream are drawn as a text ambigram indistinctly spelling the word “LIVE”.

The poster is in mint condition with machine folds, as originally sent out. We have had it archivally linen mounted which has flattened the folds, which are now barely noticeable. This looks absolutely spectacular in person, and will frame beautifully. An extraordinary Grateful Dead collectible. 24″ x 36 1/4″. With Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
