A handbill advertising the 1957 Great South Bay Jazz Festival on Long Island, New York, featuring the Miles Davis Quintet with Sonny Rollins, the Charles Mingus Jazz Workshop, the Horace Silver Quintet featuring Art Farmer,  Rex Stewart and His South Bay Seven featuring Coleman Hawkins, and others.  Sonny Rollins played in Miles Davis’ Quintet for only a few months–but what a great band it was, with Paul Chambers, Red Garland and Art Taylor.  The lineups of each group are listed on this detailed handbill.  In near mint condition, 8 1/2″ x 11″.  From the collection of legendary critic Ralph J.
