Hot Lips Page & Cozy Cole – 1940s Signed Onyx Club Postcard (52nd St. NYC Jazz Club)

A 1940s postcard from New York City’s Onyx Club, the renowned jazz club on Manhattan’s 52nd Street (aka ‘Swing Street’), signed by legendary trumpeter Oran ‘Hot Lips’ Page and drummer Cozy Cole (1909-1981).

Page writes ‘Thanks Paul, Hot Lips Page,’ while Cole simply signs his name.  The Onyx club is featured in the book Sittin’ In: Jazz Clubs of the 1940s and 1950s, by Recordmecca owner Jeff Gold; which reproduces the front of this postcard on a full page.
