James Brown – Double Size 1971 Boxing-Style Concert Poster
A superb double-size cardboard concert poster advertising James Brown’s October 23, 1971 concert at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium. This stunner has it all–large size, a fluorescent portrait of Brown, great text–‘Sex Power and Love” and “The Sex Machine”, and song titles including “Lost Someone”, “Black and Proud”, “Super Bad”, “Soul Power” “Sex Machine”, “Hot Pants” and “Try Me”.
This show captured Brown at his prime, taking place six months after his legendary Paris Olympia show documented on the album Love, Power, Peace: Live at the Olympia, Paris 1971. In excellent condition, with a small number written in the bottom right corner border. 22″ x 30″. Extremely impressive.
