James Brown – Signed Pure Dynamite Album

A first pressing copy of James Brown's 1964 live album "Pure Dynamite," signed and inscribed to his friend, Washington (D.C.) Star music critic Ron Oberman. This album was the follow-up to Brown's massively successful "Live at the Apollo," and was recorded in Baltimore, MD, near Oberman's home. Oberman would spend time with Brown when the latter was in the area, and this album was signed sometime before 1967, when Oberman left the Star to work for Mercury Records. Brown wrote on the back cover "From James To Ronnie" and then what looks like "Ronney." The cover is in near excellent condition, with an invisibly repaired seam split. The original disc is in VG condition. We obtained this directly from Ron Oberman, and as with everything we offer, it is guaranteed authentic with no time limit.
