Jeff Beck – Moody Blues – Elton John – Creation – etc. – 1967 Marquee Club Handbill

A handbill for a June, 1967 series of concerts at London's legendary Marquee Club, including shows by the Jeff Beck Group, the Moody Blues, Procol Harum, Bluesology with Elton John, The Action, Family, The Creation, John Mayall's Blues Breakers (with Mick Taylor,) Terry Reid, John Lee Hooker, Savoy Brown, Sands, The Herd, Al Stewart, the Syn, Marmalade, and others. If we were to choose a time and place to be, London 1967 would surely be it, as this handbill so aptly illustrates. Imagine, seeing all these acts in one month at a small club. The front of the handbill features an ad for a show at the Royal Festival Hall which was the first public performance of folk supergroup Pentangle, featuring Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Jacqui McShee (their collective name isn't mentioned, but this is recognized as their first-ever concert.) Also featured is an ad for the 7th National Jazz & Blues Festival, which featured the first performance by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, as well as Cream, Jeff Beck, Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Chicken Shack, Blossom Toes, Donovan, Small Faces, Move, Tomorrow, The Nice, the Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Ten Years After, and others. In near mint condition, 5 7/8' x 9'.
