Jefferson Airplane – 1st Printing 1968 Shrine Pinnacle Concert Poster / AOR 3.66 Art by John Van Hamersveld
A very rare first printing of AOR 3.66, John Van Hamersveld’s classic poster advertising shows by the Jefferson Airplane, Clear Light, Charlie Musslewhite and The Ceyleib People at the Shrine Exhibition Hall in Los Angeles, on Feb 23/24, 1968. These shows were part of the legendary Pinnacle Dance Concert series.
The first printing is distinguished by the Adprint Co. Los Angeles printer’s credit in the lower left corner (with no mention of Personality Posters, who distributed the second printing), and the larger size (this measures 19 7/16″ x 27 1/2″).
This example is in overall excellent condition. There is a bit of faint fading, apparent only because the very edges are a tiny bit darker (from being matted in a frame), a bit of edge wear, three small closed edge tears, 1/4″ and 1/8″, and two small bits of tape on the back from prior framing A beautiful example of a rare and highly collectible classic poster that will frame beautifully.
