Jefferson Airplane – Grace Slick Owned & Worn 60’s Suede Coat
A wonderful 1960’s suede coat, owned and worn by legendary Jefferson Airplane singer Grace Slick. This coat was custom made for Slick, who later customized it by sewing on the black and gold trim. Recordmecca’s Jeff Gold obtained this directly from Grace Slick and her daughter, China Kantner (who’s father is the Airplane/Starship’s Paul Kantner.) Grace has handwritten a note authenticating this dress as her own, reading ‘I, Grace Slick, sold this amber suede coat with black and gold trim (that I sewed on by hand)—worn in the 60’s, to Jeff Gold. Grace Slick.’ Included are images of Slick wearing what appears to be this coat, some before she added the trim. A rare opportunity to obtain a coat made for and owned by Grace Slick, with impeccable provenance (elsewhere on this site, we are offering the dress Grace wore at the Monterey Pop Festival.) With Recordmecca’s written lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
