Jerry Garcia's handwritten lyrics to Bob Dylan's "Senior (Tales of Yankee Power);" written out by Garcia in preparation for the 1987 Dylan & The Dead tour. Before touring with Dylan, the Dead regularly performed his songs and Garcia's version of Senior appeared on his "Jerry Garcia Band" album. Authentic Garcia handwritten items are extremely rare, and this one comes with a notarized letter of authenticity from Steve Parish, author of "Home Before Daylight: My Life On The Road With The Grateful Dead." Parish notes "Jerry Garcia wrote out the lyrics for the song "Senior," a song originally written by Bob Dylan, to help him memorize the words as part of his preparation for the 1980's Dylan-Dead tour. I received it from Jerry and have it in my possession ever since. I worked for Jerry Garcia for over 25 years as his personal tech and stage manager."
