A classic photograph of Jim Morrison of The Doors taken in 1969 in the hallway of the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood.

This beautiful print measures 8 1/2″ x 11 1/2″ and is in mint condition.  The back has Art Kane’s copyright stamp, and the notation in an unknown hand “Jim Morrison Los Angeles 1969” and “Print 1976”.

Art Kane (April 9, 1925 – February 3, 1995),  was a legendary New York based fashion and music photographer active from the 1950s through the early 1990s. He created many portraits of contemporary musicians, including Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Frank Zappa, Jim Morrison and The Doors, Janis Joplin, the Rolling Stones and The Who.
