A Doors collectible we’ve never seen, nor had heard of before–an issue of the very obscure Los Angeles IMAGE newspaper from October 3-16, 1969 featuring an original Jim Morrison POEM, “from DRY WATER” unpublished elsewhere until it’s publication in 1988 in the book “Wilderness: The Lost Writings of Jim Morrison.”

As you can see from the photos, the Morrison poem is a front page story in the IMAGE. Inside there is a page of Morrison related artwork–in the corner it says “From “The Soft Parade,” words and music by Jim Morrison” with copyright information; and then a full page of “from DRY WATER.”

In overall excellent condition, with expected yellowing and minor edge wear. We are life long Los Angelinos and have never seen another example of ANY issue of Los Angeles IMAGE.
