Jimi Hendrix – 1968 Shrine Auditorium Handbill
A very rare first printing handbill advertising a February 1968 concert by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Soft Machine, Electric Flag and Blue Cheer at Los Angeles’s Shrine Auditorium. This is the scarcest version, printed on gold paper; most were on light blue paper.
The handbill is in VG+ condition with some some tape residue on the left edge of the back, barely visible on the front. There is a crease along the top edge, and a barely noticeable 3/4″ closed tear on the left edge, about 1/2″ from the top–the tape residue on the back holds the paper in place. The handbill looks very good in person and will frame nicely. A scarce and highly sought after handbill, with classic artwork by John Van Hamersveld. 8.5″ x 5.5″
