Jimi Hendrix – French 1st Press “Electric Ladyland” LP with Unique Cover

A very scarce EX/EX to VG++ French 1st pressing of Jimi Hendrix’s masterpiece, the double album Electric Ladyland.  Hendrix’s French label, Barclay, created their own album covers for Hendrix’s albums, and while they’re all beautiful this has long been our favorite.  Note that while the inside of the gatefold is similar to the UK release, the photo of Hendrix is unique to this edition as well.

This is the earliest 1968 first pressing, with the first label variation (the publishing rights designation is BIEM on the labels, while the second pressings have SACEM instead.)  The discs are EX and EX-/VG++ and sound great.  The cover is very clean with the rare “Grand Prix International Du Disque” sticker and price code sticker on the back.  A beautiufl example of a rare and wonderful Hendrix album
