Jimi Hendrix – Mitch Mitchell’s “Cry of Love” RIAA White Matte Gold Record Award, With Full Authentication
An original RIAA “white matte” gold record award for Jimi Hendrix’s album The Cry of Love, presented to and owned by Jimi Hendrix Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell. Mitchell, one of the greatest rock drummers ever, was a co-producer of the 1971 album. This was his personal award, owned by him since the album’s certification, and acquired by Recordmecca directly from his widow, Dee Mitchell. Original white matte awards are highly sought after, and this one, presented to the legendary drummer and longtime Hendrix collaborator, is truly extraordinary. This award is completely original; we had it opened up and inspected, and a small spot of mildew on the matte cleaned. It has the original backing paper and NY Frame & Picture Company sticker. With Dee Mitchell’s letter of authenticity, and Recordmecca’s lifetime guarantee. 17 3/4″ x 21 1/2″.
