Jimi Hendrix – Original “Crash Landing” Reel-to-Reel Master Tape
A safety master tape of Jimi Hendrix’s 1975 album Crash Landing, formerly owned by the album’s co-producer Alan Douglas. This 10″ reel-to-reel tape was made at Mediasound Studio in New York, and sent to Douglas on April 20, 1976. We acquired this from Douglas’ ex-wife and Jimi Hendrix’s close friend, Stella Benabou Douglas. She appears in the 1973 documentary A Film About Jimi Hendrix, and with her design partner Colette Mimram, created many outfits for Jimi, including the white fringed jacket he wore at the Woodstock festival.
The tape plays perfectly and a professional digital transfer is included. A rare opportunity to own a Jimi Hendrix master tape.
